Major Problem with RFA's/ Lineups/Rotation/Bullpen

I realized today that there is a problem with RFA offers. Please check your lineup/rotation/lineup.

This is how I understand the problem:

First:
The player's baseballcard would allow RFA offers even after the Deadline had passed. I fixed interface problem. However if a player received another offer after the deadline passed the interface would still allow an offer to be made. infact it would look like no offers were made at all.  All transactions that were set to expire sometime March 17 may have a problem similar to the above. If a player offer expired March 18 or later the transaction should be fine.

I was working on a script to delete the any errant offers on players. However because of a series of personal commitments I haven't been able to fully test the above problems and solutions. Though I believe the impact is not wide spread. I noticed it via my offers and players, I had made a point to get the first offers out to see if any RFA problems existed.

Second:
The program that monitors all player transactions processed RFA transactions before the end of the season. I don't understand fully why that happened.

The result is that teams may have lost or gained players before the end of the season because the RFA transaction was processed prior to the end of the season.  This also means rotations/bullpens and lineups are missing players because the RFA transactions were processed as if all players are new players.
It also means players will appear with a new contract in hand rather than under their old expired contract.

So even if the player was on your team and you re-signed him, the monitor program removed him from the lineup/rotation/bullpen and placed him on Non-Roster.

Please check your lineup/rotation/lineup.

What I am going to do to fix this:
I wanted to create a script to roll back the trades, however I think it will be difficult in a short time before the end of the season.

The better option is to let things play out as is. If there is a problem I'm asking managers to bring it to my attention and I'll deal with it case by case.

In the short term I am going to rewrite the trade monitoring program, or more or less modify it, so players don't get removed from their team's lineups anymore.

I will also fix the RFA interface problem and make it easier for managers to track their RFA players. I experienced some frustration trying to figure out who bid on my players, and where I stood in negotiations.  This is the reason I pounded out the RFA Monitor. I also moved the link for it to the Sidebar.

If anyone has any thoughts or concerns please post on this blog.

Thanks

RG
