Social Media Move
Just an update to our news feed. To make news more accessable to managers we are moving to Facebook, Twitter, and Blogspot for most of our Baseballczar communications rather than only email (which I think most people don't fully read just thinking of my own habits). Social Media is a great way to reach more users in more engaging ways, email will still be used but for personal communications, activations and confirming certain transactions such as email or password changes.

How?
Essentially I will post site news on Blogspot (its just easier than email) which will be dupicated on Facebook. I have to coordinate the Baseballczar fb page with a new page because the old one is connected to my personal FB - that should be done soon. Facebook will have all the tutorials, in addition to the tuts being on the site, but eventually site based tuts will be more tucked away than they are now . Plus I'm planning to add (?) pop ups all over the site to add immeditate guidance. Twitter will have all the updates anyone can follow and there is some baseball news feeds in there which is cool.

Discussion Forums
I feel that having a community is important. Forums encourage open feedback which I use to guide site development, and it gives managers a place to throw around ideas on how to play. I have started discussions on the Baseballczar FB page. I believe managers can also start topics, and I encourage you to do so. I will also try to have some standard forums for discussions. I still encourage direct suggestions via the site link, but posting is cool too. Just remember to use normal discourse given the public can read this stuff.

Facebook Connect
Yes. I do plan on integrating Facebook Connect into Baseballczar. There are a few things that have to happen but its in the plan going forward. Facebook Connect will add a better way for managers to connect to each other than I could do on my own. But it also adds a huge convenience factor to logging in. There is also a possibility of using Google as well, if managers ask for it I will do it.  I use both FB and Google in different places personally, but I am a one man shop... just changing a light bulb has to be considered.

See you on fb, Twitter and Blogspot,

Rod Griola
